It is your experience as much as it is mine that life on earth has become extremely competitive and complex. Especially for people who live in urban centers. Constant concerns about family, finances, parents, workplace demands, anxious moments while commuting to & from work places and many other high impact stress factors all combine to make a great negative impact on our overall Well-Being. As we add our own factors due to sheer indiscretion instead of inculcating good practices that help to mitigate the stress caused by all the factors just enumerated, we lose health and we lose happiness too. Everything else will then be of no consequence.

At birth we are all normally active by nature (physically as well as mentally: this is quite easily appreciated when you observe a newborn for some time; the natural tendency is one of great physical & mental activity) and oblivious of the vagaries of living as we start off endowed with a good immune system.
Problems & illnesses occur due to two broad category of reasons: one category of extraneous factors on which we perhaps have less control but the second category for which we are directly responsible because we disregard caution & discretion. The latter most adversely affect us in old age except of course in some situations, where in spite of living a well disciplined life, illness may befall us for reasons beyond us.
Older generations lived in harmony with nature and had inculcated healthy lifestyle practices in every routine and therefore, enjoyed a better quality of life. So it boils down to living the lifestyle that guarantees your enjoying the quality of life for as long as we are destined to or as long as good things go our way!
Then what is a Healthy Lifestyle? The definition is not short or brief though practicing one is not difficult if you are willing to take charge and stay motivated after you see its benefits. Let me introduce a Charter of Healthy Lifestyle and elaborate on it.
